The Flavour Profile
This medium roast coffee from Colombia is an excellent choice for any extraction method, making it ideal for late mornings or early afternoons. Its light-medium body features delightful hints of orange toffee and caramel.
The Little Details
This coffee comes from Finca Buesaco Nariño in Buesaco town, Nariño region Colombia. It's grown 2050 metres above sea level. This coffee is fully washed and then dried on raised beds. It's drawn from Caturra, Castillo & Colombia beans.
About the Process
After the careful harvest of the coffee, the cherries are sorted and pulped to remove the external fruit layer. Next, the coffee is fermented in tanks of water for an average of 24 hours to breakdown the remaining sticky mucilage. Afterwards, the beans are washed in channels before being dispersed evenly on patios to dry in the open sun until the ideal moisture content is reached. The dried coffee is then delivered to the dry mill to be hulled and prepared for export.
